Our Mission
At Legacy Tutorial, we partner with Christian homeschool parents in Sumner County to support and provide an invaluable academic resource to fulfill their call to continue homeschooling through Middle and High School.
Our mission is to prepare students both ACADEMICALLY and BIBLICALLY for the future God has for them. We genuinely believe homeschoolers will play a significant role in building God’s kingdom and the future making of this nation and the world. We intend for the students who move through these courses to be better equipped to face the world and fulfill God’s call on their lives.
Our Beliefs
- We believe that there is one true God, creator of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. The only begotten Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
- We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is our standard for living and it reveals absolute truth.
- We believe that salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell and the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. All people will spend an eternity in Heaven in the Presence of our Lord or an eternity in hell separated from God.
- We believe in the Sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman and that God created us in the image of God, male and female.

Philosophy of Education
As homeschool parents, we understand the importance you put on the curriculum you choose, your role in raising your children, and the value of YOU being the primary teacher. With that in mind, we spend hours researching and choosing what we believe is some of the best curriculum available to use within a classroom setting while allowing you to maintain your role at home. We will cover all we can in class and provide an easy-to-follow guide for the days your student works at home.
We believe that a “good education” has several components:
- Academic Excellence
- Biblical Worldview
- A Whole-Life Approach to Learning (training in character development, social skills, teamwork, presentation skills, and creatively inspiring a lifelong love for learning.)
Whenever possible, the curriculum and resources we use are faith-based. History, Science, and English are not just subjects to be studied for a transcript but a way to increase faith, knowledge, and a biblical worldview. Our goal is to not only prepare your students academically for college if they choose that path but, more importantly, to stand firm in their faith and fulfill whatever calling God has placed on their lives.
